SACRAMENT, Calif. The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office and Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force is conducting an investigation, details of which were released this afternoon. It is about a sexual predator, who would have seduced and incited to pornography some 80 minors from all over the country, between the ages of 6 and 13.
Authorities arrested him last December after following an anonymous tip, and would be responsible for committing several sexual crimes against minors.
Everything was done online. The suspect identified as Demetrius Carl Davis, 24, of Sacramento County, allegedly created numerous fictitious social media accounts calling himself Lizzy.
“Davis used these accounts to contact minors through the internet and thus seduce them, from which he sent child pornographic material,” agents said in a video posted on social media.
“After establishing contact with the minors, he convinced them to produce pornographic material, inciting them into sexual activity with siblings, friends or acquaintances of the children,” the investigators detailed.
The Sheriff’s office added that Davis may have spoken to more than 100 children between late 2020 and December 2021, so they don’t rule out the possibility of more victims.
Agents ask parents to check their children’s electronic devices and contact the Sacramento Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force if they believe their children sent something illegal to someone named “Lizzy.”
Eighteen men from the Sacramento region were arrested on various felony charges related to meeting minors for sex, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office reported.
