Im selling something on Facebook marketplace and I got a message from somebody with some links to a search engine about something similar they are looking at buying that they’re interested in – me being the idiot I am I clicked on the links without thinking about it, saw it was some sort of search engine I wasn’t familiar with and closed it down. This was all on the iPhone app. I’ve since put the phone into flight mode just in case, but is it atall possible they could have installed software to the phone without me knowing or stolen data some how? Im not the most tech savvy when it comes to this sort of thing but as far as im aware you cant install software to an ios device without granting permission on the device itself, and in order for my information to have been stolen I would have had to physically entered it myself in something like a fake log in screen or something. Any help would be much appreciated.
